3D product configurator for furniture manufacturers
Odaform is a product configurator and room planning platform where furniture manufacturers present their own products as true-to-size 3D models with colour and finish options. The platform runs on your logo and brand colours; your retailers choose the product together with the customer in the showroom, place it in the room and prepare the quote on the same screen.
What is a furniture configurator?
A furniture configurator is a sales tool that lets customers try a product's colour, finish and placement options on screen, in 3D. A catalogue photo shows a single combination, while customers usually want to know "how would this wardrobe look in light walnut?" or "will the bed fit in front of the window?".
A configurator answers these questions in the showroom, during the sales conversation. The customer decides based on a true-to-size image rather than imagination, and the retailer no longer has to flip through catalogue pages to explain the product.
How it differs from general design apps
Free room design apps available online are built for end consumers and work with a generic furniture library. Odaform is a B2B platform set up directly for the manufacturer:
- Only your collection. The platform contains only your products with your colour and finish options; there is no generic furniture library.
- Your brand identity. Your logo and brand colours are applied to the interface and to quote documents.
- For your retailers only. The platform is not open to end customers; each retailer signs in with its own user account, and an account can be open on only one device at a time.
- Connected to sales. A design ends with a quote PDF prepared from the selected products, so configuration becomes part of the sales process.
What can be done in the configurator?
- Products are placed in the room as true-to-size 3D models, against the walls and never overlapping.
- The collection's colour and finish options apply to every product in one tap, so the customer can compare combinations.
- The customer zooms in, opens the doors and checks the interior and dimensions.
- Wall colour and flooring can be changed to see how the product looks in different settings.
- The planner suggests a suitable spot for each product, keeping doors and walkways clear; a product inside the door's swing area is flagged.
- The room is saved under a design code; the customer can open it on their phone or in a VR headset with a QR code.
At your own branded address or embedded in your website
The configurator runs in a web browser; nothing is installed on retailers' computers. The platform can be published at your own branded address (e.g. yourbrand.odaform.com) or embedded in your website. Either way, only registered retailer accounts can sign in.
Hosting, updates, backups and technical support are provided by Odaform. Simply send the 3D models of your new products; after integration they become available to all your retailers automatically.
If you do not have 3D models
Existing 3D models can be sent in GLB, glTF, FBX or OBJ format, one file per product; they are optimised for the platform and their materials and textures refined. If you have no models, with the Premium package our team creates 3D models of your products from dimensions, technical drawings and photos. Models are true to size, with colour and finish options defined as separate materials.
Packages
Odaform comes in three packages. Basic covers 3D room planning, quote PDFs, VR sharing and saved designs for your retailer network. Pro adds a headquarters management panel where you follow retailer usage, quotes and sales conversion. Premium includes all Pro features plus our 3D modelling service.

How we work together
- Introductory callWe review your request within one business day and schedule a 30-minute introductory call.
- Live demoUsing a sample catalogue, we demonstrate room planning, quoting and VR sharing over screen share.
- Sample setup3–5 products of your choice are added with your brand identity (approx. one week). No charge if you provide 3D models; if modelling is required, the fee is deducted from the setup fee upon signing.
- 14-day pilot2–3 retailers of your choice use the platform free of charge with real customers. The contract stage follows the pilot.
Frequently asked questions
Can end customers use the configurator?
No. Odaform is used only with registered retailer accounts. The customer can view the room prepared by the retailer on their phone or in a VR headset via a QR code, and the design code lets the same room be opened another day, at another retailer.
Which 3D model formats are accepted?
GLB, glTF, FBX or OBJ, one file per product. We expect metres, real dimensions and PBR materials. Please contact us for other formats.
Can we see it with our own products before buying?
Yes. After the live demo, 3–5 products of your choice are added with your brand identity. Then 2–3 retailers of your choice use the platform free of charge with real customers for 14 days.
